One fateful Monday evening back in October of 2022, Noor walked into Crunchy's to enjoy a night of questionable stand-up comedy with some friends. When Nicole took to the stage, Noor couldn't help but listen. Captivated by her quick wit and charm, in that moment, Noor knew Nicole was special. After her set, Noor told Nicole that she was spectacular and a friendship was born. Little did Noor know, but Nicole thought that Noor was equally special and even wrote in her journal that she knew they would be together.

The following years were filled with random run-ins at shows and Noor driving hours to see Nicole perform even thought she totally did not have a crush on Nicole. Finally, in early 2025, Nicole mustered the courage to message Noor on Instagram about a book. And then, a week later, they went on their first date. The date was a bit of a disaster...the restaurant Noor had picked was closed, the weather was terrible, and they were both so nervous. Eventually, the nerves died down and the two of them spent hours on Noor's couch talking. And later that night, Nicole looked at Noor and said, "Dude, I'm going to marry you." In that moment, Noor thought wow, she's either crazy or she's right.

Since that first date, Noor and Nicole have been pretty much inseparable. Where you see one, you know the other is not far. Noor has always been enthralled by Nicole's kindness and sense of humor and Nicole adores Noor's infectious energy and her sharp responses to jokes.

On their first anniversary, when Nicole got down on one knee, the answer was obvious (especially because Noor was planning to ask the same question that very day.) Some may say these two moved too quickly, or that they stereotypically U-Hauled; however, Noor and Nicole wish they’d done this months ago.
